MATAWAN REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
HALL OF FAME
The Matawan Regional High School Hall of Fame/Alumni Association a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in November of 1995. The first induction was in October of 1996. The Hall of Fame recognizes graduates who have made important contributions to society, as well as non-graduates of the community who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields and have made significant contributions to Matawan Regional. Individuals who are selected for the Hall of Fame/Alumni also serve as role models for our students who currently attend MRHS.
Each individual selected for the Hall of Fame will have a plaque mounted on the Wall of Fame by the auditorium in the high school. The plaque lists the accomplishments of the inductee along with a picture.
The activities begin with a luncheon for the new inductees and assembly at the high school where the students are given the opportunity to meet the inductees and learn about their varied occupations and vast experiences. In the evening, a formal induction ceremony is held along with presentations of proclamations from local, county, and State dignitaries.
The Matawan Regional High School Hall of Fame/Alumni Induction has become an important tradition for the school and community.
